Both versions are the same - "Home Security Essential" is just a new name for "ESET Internet Security".

After installing the software (or app) on your device, for activation, please open the software (or app) and proceed with activation using your license key.

I activated the software. I want to add the license to my ESET Home account.

Since your license key is pre-activated, you won’t be able to add it directly to your ESET Home account.

However, after activating the software on your device, you can link the license to your ESET Home account if you'd like.
Please note that adding the license inside your ESET Home account is not necessary as your device is now activated and secure.

If you still want to add the license to your ESET Home account, open the software and log in to your ESET Home account within the software. If you're already logged in, the license was added to your ESET Home account automatically when you activated the software. In this case, no extra action is required.
